About E&C

  The BrandEdwards and Chaffey

The brand is named to commemorate the contribution of friends Henry Edwards and William Benjamin Chaffey to the development of the McLaren Vale region.

After the second world war, Edwards & Chaffey purchased ‘Hope Farm’ in McLaren Vale. Californian born Chaffey was a Roseworthy graduate and grandson of the pioneering brothers who established the Murray irrigation settlements. Edwards was an experienced viticulturist.

Through a combination of hard work and courage, Edwards and Chaffey built up the region’s reputation, and in doing so, paved the way for the expansion that would take place in the McLaren Vale in the following years.
